This school is amazing because it has helped me understand that with the help our others, I can reach my goals and I can reach my full potential, in school, and in life. Our lady of Tepeyac is an amazing school, were all girls can focus on school, and on college and on their future. I believe that if our school got the scholarship, it could help anyone reach for the sky, because many of the girls in that school, try really hard to do their best, even if they know that they might fail and if they do, they keep on trying. I also like that even though they have very little money or sports or clubs they still try to find different ways to make it an amazing 4 years for all the girls. Junior: I like that our lady of Tepeyac is about helping young girls reach there goals. The Jo all-girls school advantage gives students the knowledge to know that they can compete academically, athletically and socially among their peers. There are always teachers and counselors ready to help students with academics or to give another ethical perspective of our ever-changing world. The annual art show, play productions and church choir performances give the students opportunities to express themselves artistically. There is a vibrant art, theatre and music program that gives students real hands-on activities to show their creativity. The National Honor Society, volleyball, choir and JACS (leadership council) are just a few of the activities that have helped to further build her character. Parent: Sacred Heart values run through the Jo community, and by doing so have given my daughter more ways to increase her self confidence, enhance leadership skills, stay academically competitive and become active in extra curricular activities. They are ready to define their unique place in society.Despite school size, college placement is amazing! Deserves all the accolades!.
Upon graduation they leave WA self-sufficient & confident women. Students.Girls learn to advocate & take pride in their accomplishments. If a student seeks challenge, the answer is always yes! If a student tries to back away from their potential, a teacher is on it. The academics are great and exceed expectation. Maybe this was an environment that was too protected.The school is diverse and composed of students from the City, the burbs, and international locations that span the socio-economic spectrum. It is small, tucked away in Lake Forest, and single gender. Maybe this was an environment that was too protected, sheltered, and "hand holding" for a young woman in high school? And while it is small, the experience has been anything but "too reserved or safe". Parent: I am not going to sugar coat this.
